Tell us about your journey as a recruiter
I come from a background in coaching and never anticipated landing in recruitment. What drew me in were the people the world of change management is filled with individuals who truly get people. They uplift, support, and demonstrate the power of their industry one I knew very little about before moving to Australia.
I found myself energised by hosting events and bringing thought leaders together, which eventually evolved into the Change It podcast a platform that brings pioneers and experts across change and transformation to share their insights and stories.
What changes do you see happening in the recruitment industry in the next 12 months?
Looking ahead, I believe recruitment, like all industries, will continue to be disrupted over the next 12 months. But those who will thrive are the ones who never lose sight of what sits at the heart of it all: human connection. Face-to-face and real-life interactions will never be replaced by a bot. Technology should accelerate and assist us not replace the relationships that drive results.
What's one piece of advice you'd give to employers?
To clients my advice: first impressions are everything. Recruitment isn’t a one-way street. In a talent-scarce market, show up prepared, respect the process, and make it a good experience for everyone involved. An unprepared or slow process speaks volumes and could be the difference between losing and securing someone!
